I regret to inform all of you that I will no longer be posting on Heartbreak Stroll. This may be an indefinite leave, or just for an extended period of time. This blog has been a fairly big part of my life, and I think I can also say Breezy's, but for many reasons I don't feel it's necessary to name you will no longer see posting under my name. if you were an animal what would you be?
i would be a cat but because you are not allowing me to say that... a little yellow bird. when i was a kid i had a bird named yellow. there's those lines in we are nowhere and it's now and the nmh song little birds that doesn't mention yellow but birds all the same. i want to fly an irrational amount and i pick at my food like birds do sometimes.

i don't know. i personally find it a little weird when they wear clothes that don't fit them BUT i was 13 only three years ago and definitely still involved with the internet so i can't judge.

describe what summer 09 will bring~ and what it means to you.

summer 09 will bring a tan, paychecks, hopefully partying, swimming in the ocean with german, naps in the sun, white denim short shorts, mountain lake and gator rides, smoothies, asshole tourists and mini donuts, ginseng and warm sun blowing hair across my face. photo shoots and new mocassins and freedom. it is my last school summer which freaks me the fuck out but i think it will be very fun.

a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words are on your wall, and what does it say?

i have lots of pictures of teen vogue, nylon, z!nk, juxtapoz, a bob dylan poster, an alphonse mucha poster, quotes i wrote down from my favourite books, songs, poems, and pictures from two seperate disposable cameras. theres the picture of our feet that sums up everything about last summer; restlessness sunshine dust and happiness. theres the picture of SC, CB and i under the wish tree at uvic from the field trip that was easily the most happiness i've ever had crammed into two or three days and a picture of me on the ferry to vancity in the summertime. theres a drawing by brain twin, a note from a friend, photobooth picture strips, skytrain passes, and a salvador dali swans reflecting elephants poster. there is also a poster from the walls of troy that i was going to get signed by everybody but never got the chance. the walls of my room are the maps of my brain, except for the absence of math.

What most excites you about spring coming?

it's closer to summer which means freedom. which means fun. which means possible mistakes but inevitable new memories. i like memories. i'm also excited about having bare legs. YEE.

What do you hope people get from our blog?

our perspectives, a different look on things, inspiration, anything. take from it what you want, i just want you to get something from our constant babble.

If you could listen to one musical artist/group for the rest of your life, who would it be?

GUH. impossible to answer. i suppose conor oberst because i love him unconditionally. even when he's screaming and crying and bitching and swearing (actually that's when i love him most).

What do you think about all the pre-teen fashion bloggers (like, under 14)?

they're a lot more mature than i was at 12-13, i'll give them that much. no, lol i love tavi and the stylish wanderer, and all the others. when i was that age all i could think about was OMG WT (my then major crush).

Last question... so it is a hard one. What is one material object in your life that you cherish above all others (laptop, cats and ipods not included)?

my rings, or one certain one that my dad gave me. my seagull necklace that was my grandfather's. my book collection is also really important to me.

being on stage or creating things for the stage in the drama room.

whenever we get hysterical and laugh about things, like twilight or the interpretive dance walker. every car ride we had with padraic (except for the one coming back from the middle school after van, that was weird), and all the summer nights and how patient you were with me at OR's party.

wearing whatever you want and making it look good in your own opinion and ngaf if people think it is trendy/ugly/expensive/hipster/trashy.

why blogging?
because i think a lot and can type faster than i can write, i can't talk about fashion to very many people, i am an exhibinionst and someday i will wake up and i won't be 16 years old and i want to remember what it's like. and because it is fun.

what is your favourite time of day to take pictures and why?
arienette: hm.. that's really hard to answer because in the mornings everything is so clean and calm, along with the sunrise. midday is nice because if it's rainy or sunny you can capture it because it's the brightest. and then there's the late night party pictures yo.

what is the last thing you think about before you fall asleep?

arienette: usually the day that just happened. if something's bothering me, like a fight with someone or something straight up amazing happened i'll think about it and analyze it (if i'm in a fight i'll think about how to make it better). sometimes i'll go through my day and think about what would have happened if i had done things differently. or if its been a bad day i'll tell myself things will get better. i'm up late thinking a lot.

what is your favourite memory with me?

arienette: oh god. one of my favorites is when we lost padraic in vancouver and just that whole time there. seriously one of the highlights of my summer. but really i just love it when we hang out and don't really have to say anything. twilight was fun too.. or not lol.

if you could eliminate anything, or any person from your life, who or what would it be?

arienette: i think you know the certain people who i would elimiate from my life, but fuck you for this breezy. this is too hard of a question.

where do you want to be 5 years from now?

arienette: ideally i would be in med school, done pre-med. i really want to be in victoria actually. just being out of where we live would make me happy.

school has been going pretty good, or rather acting has. having just half days of acting is amazing, learning and participating with younger grades in classes with them. i've been losing a lot of sleep a lot lately, for what ever reason. it's getting to be ridiculous. when i actually do get to sleep my mom has to decide if she wants to wake me up for school or let me finally get some rest (usually it's the former). -sleepy a (who will probably be posting at odd hours)
ps is it ridiculous of me to want to dress like the above photos, which i find incredibly inspirational? does anyone have any DIY t-shirt ideas for me?

21. i am changing every day. every day i could think of more things to write on lists like this, every month i could take things off this list when they don't apply to me anymore. such is the way of being a teenager, i guess.

22. the secret to my happiness: i always have something to look forward too. if its nothing exciting like... field trip i find something. theres always something (like double theatre blocks or its a good TV night) and if there isn't, i make something. for an instance, putting curlers in my hair. this sounds really, really shallow and superficial, but i am excited in the morning to wake up and see what it looks like. or i write on my friends fb walls so i get to look forward to their responses, silly things like that. eventually, i am just happy, and i look forward to continuing to be happy, and i am grateful for being happy, and it all fuels itself in a general state of well being. some people might think i'm not "savouring" my time by always looking forward but... if i am happy how am i not savouring my time? (it should be noted though, nothing tragic has ever really happened to me while i was old enough to understand the impact of it. this probably has a lot to do with it)

23. i wish i could personally give every musician that i steal music from via the internet money.

24. me and my dad bond over the l word, lost, boston legal and hockey games.

25. i don't find it that hard to write about myself. a lot of people do, but i find it theraputic.

14. i've dabbled in a lot of arts. i used to paint when i was little, my grandfather (who is now dead) gave me a beautiful wooden case with a set of paints when i was about 7. i won some art contest and had a painting made into a postcard for the christmas craft fair. i painted the inside of a dollhouse my mom made when she was pregnant with me and made a ridiculous ammount of furniture for it out of bits and pieces of things (what up, milk creamer garbage can) i've been dancing since i was 5, stopped for two years, and started again this year. definitely happy to have started again. i was even in a musical in grade 8, ~hansel and gretel~ but i can't sing for shit and so idk why they gave me a lead. theatre feels like home though, more than i can explain.

i do everything arienette does basically. she's my muse~

1. i've had 3 or 4 concussions in my life. i fall headfirst/get hit in the head a lot. i'd like to say that this also applies in some metaphorical way where i'm really exciting and fearless but i'm not. i'm quite sedimentary and cowardly.

2. "i like myself, i like my face, i'm smart, i'm loud, i like to act" not my words but is dissapointingly true. i am incredibly self-absorbed and vain. i also interrupt people a lot, its a serious problem i'm trying to fix no joke. i only half-sarcastic.

3. i am so so awful at conversations when i don't know people. i'm either awkward as fuck and don't say anything or i'm really really fake and high pitched and squeaky wide-eyed. sometimes i get really ridiculously nice/happy to people i've never met before (like servers in a restaurant or something or on the phone)

4. i can talk for hours though if you're my friend. just as airy. my mouth likes to make sounds before my mind makes thoughts. i can type a lot too, in fragments, where you one sentence takes up about enter button presses. i blame it on my old friend LM who typed this way who i used to talk to alllll the time.

5. i get bored with life really easily. i do better when i have little projects with goals that i can reach and feel satisfied for about a day then move onto something new.

6. i'm not very good at goodbyes either. i hate things that are final and complete. i change my mind a lot, or at least i like the comfort of being able to change my mind.

7. i come from a family of hippies. compared to them, i am a square born-again christian republican (i'm not jsyk!!). its okay though, its my way of ~rebelling.

8. too much lemon juice gives me hives on my elbows and knees. who knows why. i'm also convinced i'm semi-allergic to aspratame.

9. i play a lot of tetris. this is a new development in my life.

10. up until very recently my desktop background was always a picture of space. right now its http://www.flickr.com/photos/poisonoak/3206872551/ this picture that airy took.

1.) right now my room is messy and it's very hard to deal with. i usually clean it every sunday out of habit, but i didn't this weekend because i wanted to see if i could do it(obviously i could not). 4.) the above picture of mary-kate olsen is my favourite of her, i love that whole nylon shoot. i'm seriously one of her biggest fans EVER.
5.) i've decided against going to formal this year.
6.) i love photography with a wordless passion.
7.) biology is one of my favourite subjects, and i realized that this year while cutting open animals soaked in formaldahyde.
8.) the future scares me.
